What is Dashworks?

A space where a big idea came to life

Dashworks makes spaces for infinite possibilities and big ideas. Our big idea - to redefine the traditional day in the office for professionals, entrepreneurs, small business owners and inventors in Lake Macquarie - is ready for you.

With a warm and welcoming feel and thoughtful consideration of design, our spaces are purpose-built to help you grow your business, design and build products and fuel collaboration.

Since we launched in 2016, Dashworks has grown to become ‘home’ to over 120 members over two locations. Backed by Dantia, Lake Macquarie’s economic development company, we’re proud to operate two exciting facilities - Workspace, a contemporary coworking hub in Charlestown, and Makespace, a commercial-focused makerspace and prototyping facility in Warners Bay. We’re committed to boosting business and accelerating innovation in our region.

Our Values

Our spaces are filled with honest, hungry and intelligent minds, all keen to support each other and celebrate the wins. There’s no spin here - just authentic, motivated people working hard together.

We are passionate and ambitious; we experiment with new ideas and we’re not afraid to fail.

We are focused on propelling our projects forward and succeeding in our ambitious endeavours, but we also know that a happy home-life helps us kick our goals.

We respect and celebrate diversity and individuality and we are free to be ourselves. We are open-minded and inclusive.

Our Team

We are a team of community-minded trailblazers, innovators, collaborators and creators that come together and support each other.

Our community coordinators are on-site to welcome new members, greet guests, maximise opportunities for collaboration and business development, and nurture our community spirit.

Our Purpose

Why we set up Dashworks

The rise of entrepreneurism, startups and the gig economy are driving big changes in the way we work. Businesses of all sizes are realising the benefits of coworking in boosting productivity, wellbeing and idea generation.

Dashworks is leading this change in Lake Macquarie and the greater Hunter Region, giving local businesses, product developers, startups, remote workers and professionals an alternative option to high-overheads – a proven model to stimulate growth and drive innovation.
